Quiet Orbit
Terms of Use
These Terms govern your use of the Quiet Orbit iPhone app and this website. By using Quiet Orbit, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use Quiet Orbit.
Effective 30 August 2026. Last updated 30 August 2026.
1. About Quiet Orbit
Quiet Orbit is provided by Zeus Apps B.V., a private limited company registered in the Netherlands. Contact: support@quietorbit.org.
Quiet Orbit provides focus timers, optional app blocking, reminders, expedition progress, and related reflection and customization features. It is a productivity and entertainment aid. It is not medical care, therapy, professional advice, emergency software, or a guarantee of results.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 and legally able to agree to these Terms. Where local law requires parental or guardian consent, you may use Quiet Orbit only with that consent.
3. Using Quiet Orbit
You may use Quiet Orbit for personal, non-commercial purposes, in line with these Terms and applicable law. You may not:
- Reverse engineer, disrupt, overload, or misuse the service, except where the law expressly permits it
- Circumvent Premium access, purchase validation, or technical protections
- Use Quiet Orbit to violate another person's rights or applicable law
- Present Quiet Orbit, its artwork, writing, or brand as your own
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app while these Terms apply. Quiet Orbit and its content remain owned by us or our licensors.
4. Timers, blocking, and notifications
Quiet Orbit cannot guarantee uninterrupted timing, app blocking, notifications, data preservation, or compatibility in every circumstance. Operating-system behavior, permissions, restarts, battery settings, network conditions, and third-party services all affect these features.
App blocking is optional. You remain responsible for your device, your work, and for deciding whether a focus session is appropriate right now. Do not rely on Quiet Orbit where a missed alert or an unavailable app could create risk. Pause or end a session if you need access to something important.
5. Your data
Quiet Orbit stores your session history, settings, progress, findings, and notes on your iPhone, and syncs them to your own private iCloud database. There is no Quiet Orbit account and no recovery service we can perform for you: we have no access to that database. You are responsible for your device and your backups. Deleting the app, or using Delete All Quiet Orbit Data, permanently removes this information. See the Privacy Policy for the detail.
6. Quiet Orbit Premium
Some features require a paid, automatically renewing subscription or another in-app purchase offered through Apple. Available products, prices, billing periods, trials, and introductory offers are shown on the purchase screen and in Apple's confirmation before you buy. A subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
Payment is charged to your Apple Account. Apple manages billing, renewal, cancellation, and refunds under its own terms. You can manage or cancel from your Apple Account subscriptions, or from inside Quiet Orbit under Settings, Support & Legal, Subscription. Deleting Quiet Orbit or its data does not cancel a subscription.
If Premium ends, the paid features become unavailable, but your session history, focused minutes, everything you already earned, and your existing notes remain accessible. Features and offers may change, and we will not remove access to purchased rights contrary to applicable law.
7. Third-party services
Quiet Orbit depends on services and frameworks from Apple, RevenueCat, PostHog, and Sentry. Their terms and privacy practices may also apply. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our control.
8. Feedback
If you send suggestions or feedback, you allow us to use them without restriction or payment, while you keep any rights you already hold. Please do not send confidential material you do not want us to use.
9. Changes and availability
We may improve, change, suspend, or discontinue parts of Quiet Orbit. We may update these Terms and will publish a new effective date. Where required, we give advance notice of material changes.
10. Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by law, Quiet Orbit is provided “as is” and “as available”, and we disclaim implied warranties that may lawfully be excluded, including fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted or error-free operation. Nothing here excludes consumer rights that cannot legally be waived.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses, or for loss of data, profits, opportunities, or productivity arising from Quiet Orbit. Our total liability is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for Quiet Orbit in the twelve months before the claim and fifty euro.
These limits do not apply where they are prohibited, including liability that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law.
12. Ending use
You may stop using Quiet Orbit at any time. We may restrict access if you materially breach these Terms, or where it is necessary to protect Quiet Orbit, its users, or third parties. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without depriving consumers of the mandatory protections of their country of residence. The courts of Utrecht, the Netherlands, have jurisdiction, except where applicable consumer law provides otherwise.
14. Apple terms
The app is distributed through the App Store, and Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies in addition to these Terms. Where the two conflict, Apple's agreement governs the license to use the app itself.
